SEC wins Men's Basketball
Go Gators! I never promote the SEC, but I did this year after that Houston coach mocked Duke and the ACC calling us a toy poodle league. He won due to a bad call on a free throw rebound. He should have just been grateful and left it at that. But he's an *******. No reflection on the Big XII for me, just Houston. So I'm glad Florida won.
The ACC lost a lot of basketball coaches recently that were legends. Need to rebuild and get back on top.

season even started, but the university found no wrong-doing. LOL. I'm no fan of Sampson, though.

in a row. You watch how much they will hype this, it will eventually make you want to 🤮
I thought Kelvin was just responding to the ESPN love affair with the SEC, and not the ACC in particular. I can see why you would see it that way, but I think he was responding to the fact that the B12 was not getting their due respect for toughness. He even expanded on the comment to clarify. Either way, just like football about 15-20 years ago, expect ESPN to repetitively and relentlessly promote SEC basketball. It’s going to be much harder for the ACC to recruit top coaches and recruits over the SEC, but I hope they do just that.

Acc are required fo match or exceed basketball funding to not only basketball staffs but recruiting and nil and at the same time stay totally competitive nationally for football and then other sports
I dont think many acc schools are prepared fo do both. They feel happy to meet the court case settlement but that is only the tip of resource needs

not directed at the ACC specifically, but a general statement about the perception of beating "weak" Big12 teams. That said, Duke simply ran out of gas at the end of the game and UH didn't. That putrid, badly missed fadeaway by Flagg at the end of the game said it all.

simply is the best. No need in people upset over it. Acc football is mediocre. Basketball was bad besides Duke and maybe Clemson. The women sports in ACC are doing fine. Baseball is ok and Wrestling good. Other than that SEC owns college athletics.

I didn't think Sampson was referring to the ACC, but he wouldn't be wrong if he was. We flopped in the tournament (other than Duke) and the league was woefully weak in the middle. There is a lot of improvement work needed.

One more thing. I wasn't really insulted by the toy poodle league comment
Maybe he was talking about the ACC. And even if he was, I wasn't that mad at it. But maybe he was directing it to college basketball as a whole, and the sports media. I can't blame the Big XII for having a chip on their shoulder. And if that's what motivates them, fine.
But why people thought Duke was better than Houston had nothing to do with conference affiliation and had everything to do with eye test. Duke looked fantastic the whole tournament until it choked the game away late to UH.
At no point in that game did UH look like the better team. But they somehow squeezed out the win. Says more about Duke than it does UH. I think if Duke got over the hump against UH that they would have taken out UF. But we'll never know.

Yes Duke choked. But that questionable at best call at the end is why Houston won. He should have been grateful and moved on. I don't root for SEC, but I wanted Florida tonight. Glad they won. SEC should not be on top of college basketball. UConn knocked the women off the perch. We need the ACC the get back and do so for the men. I'm not a Duke fan, but i am an ACC fan. UVA has had our encounters with Duke. But, Duke is part of us. So I was defensive of them with Samson's comments.

If it's any consolation, Sampson was outcoached tonight by Golden big time.
And it wasn't even close. Congrats to UF.

advantage went to Houston. The opposite if the score was over 70.
When the game is that close at the end, flip a coin as who gets the breaks. I just hate it was an SEC school.
