And Hawaii to San Francisco is a longer flight than San Francisco to Miami.

Change it to an extra home game for anyone that travels 5+ hours to a game. That would be very helpful to the ACC.
Boston to SFO, and Miami to SFO are both an hour longer flight time than San Francisco to Honolulu (6h30m vs 5h30m). Even Pittsburgh to San Francisco is 5 minutes longer. Every ACC location is a 5+ hour flight, except SMU.
Having extra ACC hosted football games each year would really help our TV and ticket revenue. I think it would be eight or nine extra games. Stanford and Cal would get one every year, and everyone else playing at those locations would get one except SMU.

I'm sure many are still just finding out. I'd expect we'll see unhappy fans of all PAC12 schools including USC/UCLA.
It's actually quite sad. Similar to when the Big East fell apart.

The rich history and success are really second to none. And the resulting chaos.
All for nothing that makes any real sense other than survival.
The B1G and Usc/ucla basically destroyed college athletics in a day. Sure it had been leading up to this but they willfully pulled the trigger right between the eyes and did the deed...and it had NOTHING to do with survival.

PAC 12 could have survived without those 2 and the addition of SDSU and SMU, but when the B1G took the above 2, the PAC was done.

The B1G effed the PAC. Right in there in the middle in the ‘A’

wasn't going to be in the same league as the Big2. Rather than work to remedy that, they decided to bail on their home and partners of over 100 years. I blame them as much / more than anyone else for all of this, though it was bound to happen one way or another.

When they are good, a big game in the Coliseum with their band, cheerleaders, and celebrities is about as good as it gets. The tradition is tremendous.
They had a problem- it was difficult but ultimately manageable . USC was never in danger of being irrelevant. Instead of working in good faith to solve the problem , they totally threw 10 partner schools under the bus, and destroyed something , albeit with its challenges, that was very good and very proud.
I won't root for USC again.

I think a lot of fans are "done with it!"
I'm sure many who are upset may eventually come back but I can understand their feelings. The Pac-12 should've never died. Thanks ESPN/ABC, Fox Sports , CBS and NBC.
IMHO, the only way this madness can end is if we have a great economic depression rivalring 1929 and I'm not hoping for that.

... the Big East made us sell our souls to enter in all sports. They treated us horribly, and looked down on us. The ACC, once the decision had been made, welcomed us with open arms, and I will never forget that. Even the schools that voted against expansion back then, accepted us into the family. I know many are against this, and maybe it shouldn't be on us to help save other programs, but now that the decision is done, I say we give Cal, Stanford, and SMU the same acceptance and consideration that we were given when we came into the ACC almost 20 years ago. Even if the conference looks wildly different now, and even if everything seems to revolve around TV revenue, if we all treat with each other the way we *think* this conference should be, then maybe it can stay that way, and maybe it'll be the last one that actually gives a crap about things more than money....
Ok....pink-tinted-naive glasses back to their case...and then remembers FSU and Clemson....
