TX and OU settled for $50mil each to get out of 1 year....that doesn't bode well for 12 years does it.

it means that the ACC schools signed a deal that grants all of the money they make from sports media to the ACC. The ACC then granted that money to ESPN in exchange for the ACCNetwork. The schools then get paid by ESPN/ACC. In other words, everyone's media money gets pooled together and paid back equally.
