Taking valuable pieces is much more efficient and lucrative. If the ACC were to land Washington, Oregon, Stanford, Arizona State, and Utah, they would have a solid western division and possibly a 6th annual game from ND (Stanford as permanent). No way we should take Cal. They're nuts and would cause lots of headaches.

And if the PAC doesn’t give them numbers them AZ can use it as an excuse and blame the PAC for the breakup. It’s a solid plan to force the issue and cover them if they leave. Personally I think the PAC is in some serious trouble if they can’t produce numbers within the week.

They already lost the potential of including San Diego. That deal is mortally wounded.
