I say let 16-20 teams go and form their own Fox/Disney league totally.
Let’s play our own league with the rest. Too many people say on here that they don’t watch the SEC/other heavyweight championships anyway, so let them become semi- pro leagues. Let’s get back to college athletes playing for love of school. That leaves about 100 other school# still left in Div 1. Some could move up from Div 2( NDSU). I’d love to play Ok St. for a Natty or Ariz St. or TCU. We can still call it the NCAA and let the big 24 make up their own rules, championships and make them have a new name not associated with the NCAA. I’m all in for opting out of this arms race. Now if the big 2 is going to get to 24-32 or so then that’s another story. But if they stand at 16 each, let em go.

Is it a function of whether we're allowed a seat at the big boys table?

there more through football, helps get better students, get Grants and get better faculty. Our biggest rise in those things happened when we got on Big East football all the time. We need to maintain that, and to grow.

up the overall quality of students. The honors program hasn't been enhanced by it. Nor engineering.

I think over the next 50 years on campus enrollment will drop for all colleges.

I hope that both Virginia Tech and Florida State are in the P-2. We have played some great games.
