I suggest the ACC trade the Pinstripe & Fenway Bowl 4 Bahamas Boca Bowls!
I think BC and Syracuse teams though from the respective states, would rather be in the Bahamas and Boca, but maybe that’s just me?🌴😎

It’s the Bahamas in December. Maybe throw together a basketball tournament at same time.
Im willing to throw my money at this type of event

that the game I end up going to may be missing key players. I’ll be there for nostalgia only.

not like the local economies of NYC or Boston are affected.
Totally made for TV events- organized for the media dollars.
And the bet is the average viewer is more marginally drawn to the novelty of a game at those venues

I think more people would like to see palm trees when it's cold outside, especially if it were the ACC versus the Sun Belt or whomever is playing in the Boca and Bahamas Bowl.

but seriously , the expense of getting suitable venues down there? hoops works great. a minor bowl game in NYC or Boston makes a ton more financial sense.

ready for a college football bowl game and all the "festivities" of a crowd of say 25-50k? How expensive would it be to get players and fans there.
It it was feasible- it would have been done 30 years ago.

which is exactly what happened with the Bahamas Bowl. It is worth noting that the San Jose Earthquake originally played their home matches in San Jose State's football stadium until PayPal Park opened on February 27, 2015.

or just say in my opinion, it would be more expensive, but I have no financial facts to back it up.
Because in my opinion, most people would rather watch a Bowl game whether in person or on TV, in the Bahamas and Boca Raton and I don't think it is close. You "feel" differently, that's okay, but unless you have financial facts that say otherwise, I am not buying your point of view. Both Pinstripe and Fenway will likely be cold non-events, especially in NYC and Boston. The empty cold stadiums will not look good on TV. I think along with the zipper model scheduling, this is another swing and a miss by Swofford, if I may use a baseball analogy, in those baseball stadiums.

and exist just to create content for TV.
Me, if VT had played ECU in the Military Bowl I wouldn't have driven 40 minutes to see it. And may not watch it on TV. Yet, when I heard 5 or 6 moths ago that VT hoops would be playing in Annapolis I bought tickets the first day possible.
So maybe I'm the wrong guy to opine- I dont care for bowls anymore. But money decides everything- if more coin could be made elsewhere, it would happen.

so I get the ho hmm attitude.
I am just trying to see the bowl as the spring game, although this year, with the new coach not coaching, we probably won't learn as much as a spring game.

...invitation to a bowl in a cold northern city on lockdown. Hopefully having our backs against the wall with a skeleton staff and team will inspire the lads to kick a little butt!
I'm usually more motivated when we're not huge underdogs.
