I think the idea of football only conferences will be next...

after all the schools non-football athletic programs complain about traveling and grow tired of it. Tech's been in that situation before with the Metro/Independent football, Metro/BEFC and A-10/BEFC, so it has been done. Let the big spenders have their upper tier/pro league and maybe tier 2 would include all the P-4 schools who don't qualify to make the 30+ tier 1 division. Maybe they could bring the Pac-12 back to play all the other sports. I assume the SEC would be tier 1 except for Vanderbilt. They could possibly play in the ACC? Since ESPN controls the ACC and SEC, they could work out some agreement. Probably two-thirds of the B1G schools would qualify for tier 1. FSU, Clemson, Miami and maybe a few other ACC schools would play tier 1 football. ESPN/Fox would run the tier 1 pro league. Three quarters of the ACC football programs would play in tier 2 along with the Big 12 and some of the G-5 schools. Tier 2 would have its own playoff and champion as would the G-5 schools. FCS would remain as it is. That way you would keep all the non-football sports as regional as possible.
