The intra-conference equality dilemma: should everyone be treated equally?

I've heard many say that unequal revenue sharing is the beginning of the end for a conference. That such conferences can't survive. Well, maybe so. And maybe not. It seems that some conferences insist on all members being treated equally. And these conferences end up having members sneaking out the back door. Much of conference realignment is about schools getting away from other schools more so than an affirmative desire to be members of other conferences. Anyway, to your point. I think more people would be willing to entertain the idea of ND negotiating its own TV contract and keeping the money as a condition of full membership than they were a decade ago. I never rejected the idea out of hand like some do. And I would certainly consider this even more so today. I'd have to give it more thought.

I think revenue should be paid by a team's commitment to each sport

This is what I think should be done. The smaller schools will vote it down.**

It's not just winning. VT is down now but they can fill stadiums at times.

That changes dramatically if Wake wins and is in the playoffs.
