If I remember correctly
IF ND decides to join a conference for football before the ACC GOR is up (not likely IMHO) then per the ND/ACC contract that conference has to be the ACC.
Now I'm sure that clause is bought out easier than FSU leaving the ACC if ND needs it to be - but something to that effect is/was in place - I may be wrong on timing.
But that also means ND may have an interest in the ACC demise if they find they were being forced into a conference anyway. Can't join - or pay to get out of - something that doesn't exist. But this is much less likely now that the CFB playoff is changing.
