SEC should have taken Florida State instead of Mizzou in 2010

U. of Florida was being shortsighted in blocking them, and the rest of the SEC should have overruled them anyway. Florida is a big state - at least twice the population of any other SEC state at the time, and could have easily supported another team. Besides, the ACC already had two teams in Florida, and taking FSU would have been a good way to stick it to the ACC and Miami. The cherry on top would be that FSU still likely would have won the MNC in 2013, given that Missouri went 11-1 with an SEC schedule. And maybe Clemson doesn't recruit quite as well in a more watered-down conference (although that notwithstandingU. of Florida was being shortsighted in blocking them, and the rest of the SEC should have overruled them anyway. That would be funny, but I don't think Aggie donors would support that move

I agree. But I think they also need to protect the Deep South.
Maroon Baboon 08/01/23 10:49 PM ET
I think they already own the Deep South with FSU & Clemson in the ACC.

Do you think the SEC would take Miami if FSU goes B1G?**

I have always expected Miami to go to the B1G, not the SEC, assuming the

Yeah I just don’t think Miami will ever be Miami it was in Dolphins Stadium
