There needs to be enough teams to be enough West Coast games for West Coast schools to reduce the travel. There needs to be enough "states" invited to get those ACCN subscriptions. One team per state. Two teams per state will probably cut into the profits too much. There also needs to be enough teams out West to make it interesting nationally. If I would bother doing this, I'd probably throw a Texas team in there too for the ACCN subscriptions. This needs to be studied. Maybe the money wouldn't work. BUT, here are some things that need to be considered. This plan is only until 2036, the date the ACC TV contracts end and the date those with the chance to go to the P2 will undoubtedly leave. ALSO, I think both conferences could use some fresh scenery--The PAC just took a massive blow and the ACC is kinda getting stale. Could use some conference games against Washington and Oregon. Additions might look something like this: UW, UO, Cal, ASU, CU, UU, (and if you just want a Texas money grab for ACCN subs, maybe SMU). I think these Western teams would have to be their own pod of course.
