SEC Going for High Stakes

Making the Big 12 let Texas & Oklahoma leave for the SEC for the 2024 Football Season when that Big 12 GOR doesn't expire until July 1, 2025. Then having that 16 team College Playoff with no automatic qualifiers that opens the door for numerous SEC teams making the field while the G5 conferences and maybe even the Big 12, might not get a single team in that enlarged playoff. What an epitaph for that alliance. The Pac being stabbed in the back by the B1G and the Big 12 having their feet held to the fire. The Big 12 was not even in the alliance.

The SEC is 1 vote, if unanimous, that works, not so much when it’s majority

If conference champions are auto qualifiers, championship games matter
WestyHokie 08/01/22 07:06 PM ET
I just said their goal is that division champs are auto qualifiers
hokieZ71 08/02/22 06:45 AM ET
If they go to 16, and if they keep conf champ games, and if champs are AQ
HokieAl 08/01/22 09:48 PM ET
I could buy in with no auto bids if they go to 16

In a 16 team model, it would be better to be the third place team in the
