Few Years Away
I think a lot of the fever about expansion would be cooled if Notre Dame settled back into the status quo with the ACC. That could happen, if so, the ACC could be stable another 1/2 dozen years with just the increasing money pay-outs to the members of the SEC & B1G applying slow cooker type pressure on the ACC. You would hear griping within the ACC but little more for those upcoming 1/2 dozen years. As 2030 nears and light at the end of tunnel in seen on the ACC GOR. You would probably start seeing moves by ACC schools mirroring what Oklahoma & Texas did last summer. If ND soon bails to the B1G, who knows what will happen? I think there is an avenue to break the GOR. It just requires a mass exodus of at least 8 ACC schools. How tough would that be to organize with the modern technology of cellphones. As to who is going where and if the B1G will make a move into the deep south along the east coast. Anybody's guess here is good as anybody elses. The past 30 years of expansion proves that.
