Going back in time, there is a reason that Lou Holtz agreed to coach there and then later Spurrier did. Neither national coach would have given VT a smell if we had job openings at that time.
They know how to play the "big program" game. They have the funding and the stones to play the big program game.
We neither know how to get funding nor the stones to actually apply it like the big programs do.
