Its not about any of those things,

no matter what you hear. this is about football (so no one cares about the other sports) and its about name recognition and being well known. They are trying to reach the average fan more. They do this by adding big "Brands". average fan (one not associated with VT) probably will not rearrange their Saturday to watch VT play most SEC teams. Th n number of VT fans not affiliatedwitht the school is nowhere as near as the number of lets say UNC fans not affiliated with UNC. they don't have to be good they have to be recognized. I hope its not the case, but most "experts" do not include VT in this
