There is no way to make the ACC more attractive. There are too many fundamental weaknesses in the ACC that will always limit its marketability. Very small schools with small alumni bases and boring atmospheres from lots of empty seats at all games: BC Duke Wake Miami (no on campus stadium) Schools lacking the consistent and rabid football fan support: GT Syracuse UVA Louisville Pitt (no on campus stadium) That leaves 5 schools with some blend of desired size, fan support, and marketability for TV games. You can’t build a conference off of just five marketable teams. Especially when only one of them, Clemson, has been good over recent years.
