FSU became a debt king

Florida State closed fiscal year 2025 with $437 million in athletics-related debt, according to its latest financial disclosures to the NCAA, a $200 million increase from the prior fiscal cycle and a higher total than any public FBS program reported in FY24. The figure likely placed the Seminoles atop the list of most heavily leveraged athletics departments in the country. ————— For FSU, it's Do or die Swim or sink B10 or bust But would the Big Ten actually save FSU from the misery of the ACC (lol) when Miami is AAU and flying high? I’ve said this before: It’s likely that at least one of Miami, FSU, and Clemson will have to stay in the ACC, and it's very possible only one of the three gets a call-up to the P2.

Debt is one thing, it can be managed, brand value is different

FSU will be fine for sure. But I don’t know if they will get an invite. **

You don't think the Big Ten would want to add FSU given all their snowbird
VTHokie2000 02/05/26 01:28 PM ET
I don't. I could see Miami ahead of FSU. **

My thinking is the draw on TV is likely a wash. If you're talking trying

I don't disagree that the TV ratings are probably a wash. Likewise, I

Aside from JAX, the other cities are as close to Miami as Tallahassee.

Right now, I agree with you that it would be a lot easier to get tickets in
VTHokie2000 02/06/26 02:34 PM ET
As I said, it’s an open race and FSU has a chance. But they’re behind Miami**

I'm not sure anyone is necessarily ahead in that race though. Given the

I know it’s trendy to renovate but FSU's stadium capacity has been reduced
