Commissioners want 16 teams in the 26-27 playoff, and 24 in ~28, but the SEC doesn’t want the 24 in the playoff then, if ever. It bares repeating, it sure does look like the SEC and ESPN want to be the P1 entities, or they are not done expanding. Because 24 in the playoff would probably kill either one of these options. It also looks to me like the 24 in the playoff is the B1G’s move to keep that from happening.
