All three new ACC schools are private.

I believe this makes the majority of ACC schools private, each an anchor, holding back the larger state schools in athletics. Stanford would seem to be an exception to that rule but let's face it, the private schools in the ACC are overall far less successful across all sports than their bigger state school ACC members. Discuss.
