Football- So many questions and possibilities. How will it affect ND rotation? Stanford is not on ND’s schedule after next year. Will ND add a sixth game? I also think the ACC should reconsider it’s protected rivals. The 3-5-5 model will need to be thrown out. Maybe adopting something similar to the Big Ten’s Flex model will work better where you play 0-3 rivals yearly. Tech plays UVA, Hoos play Tech and Carolina, Cal plays Stanford, FSU and Miami, etc. Some would play three rivals such as Carolina with UVA, NC State and Duke. Louisville and SMU should have no permanent rivals similar to Penn State in the Big Ten. Basketball looks more simple. Play everyone once then play three rivals annually or three teams the ACC chooses yearly.
