So what if the ACC adds WVU, goes to 4 quads, and only a 5 game conf sched?

That allows ND to enter as a full member and keep their autonomy. Quads are regional based to ensure regional rivalries are intact which helps develop fan interest. Each school plays 3 quad games and 2 out-of-quad games. winner of each quad gets put in a 4-team bracket for conference championship. That gives ND a chance to make CFB playoffs as a conference champion every year, fullfills their 5-game requirement while being fair to everyone else, and allows them 7 games to play other schools to maintain their scheduling independence. ND can have it's own contract for non-ACC games if it wants ... hell, everyschool could negotiate that if they want/could. But all ACC vs ACC games are owned by the conference and distributed evenly to all 16 schools. The other ACC schools are required to schedule 3 or 4 additional ACC games that don't count in the conference record but allows schools to maintain rivalries and play the teams that they want to play. Heck, ESPN can get involved to ensure quality games. two weekends of playoff football ... makes for more revenue. No quad partners. southern quad: Miami, FSU, GT, Wake coastal quad: Clemson, VT, UVA, UNC atlantic quad: UNC, Duke, Louis, NCSU northern quad: BC, Syr, Pitt, ND Seems to me this can satisfy ACC fans, ND fans, and bring 2 weekends of playoff football excitement.

In reality nd should pay exit fee and leave. Now **
MrFantastic! 08/17/22 07:18 PM ET
Why? ND is allegedly getting a big payday without paying a dime

I agree it maybe time, but it is bad business.

Can ACC evict?
MrFantastic! 08/17/22 08:51 PM ET
That would save ND almost $200 million or more

Yes but

Yes, but it would be a huge hill to climb.

Didn't the Big East evict the football schools from the conference?
VTHokie2000 08/18/22 09:34 AM ET
The Big East split was a negotiated settlement.

First, Notre Dame won't join the ACC in that scenario. Second, the quads
