Why an ACC/ND divorce will not happen.
Many below show hatred for ND. While I am not a fan of situation at hand. Both the ACC and ND need each other. People can clamor all they want about ND to the BIG. ND ultimate goal is stay INDY. Only way they can do that is be affiliated with a league. Right now that league is ACC. The money of BIG and SEC has threatened not only the ACC but the Notre Dame fighting Irish. They should and deep down do know that an ACC gone is Bye Bye INDY. Better way of putting it a P2 say join Irish or you are done.
Notre Dame has lost much of its power. Just joining for one year showed how vulnerable they became. They have no desire to be ruled by Ohio State/Michigan. NONE. So what should they do? Hope for survival of ACC maybe? I would imagine so. Swarbrick can flap his jaws but his machine called the Irish are only desired for one reason. MONEY. Get in the BIG and lets see how it plays out. I admire the Irish for desiring to keep tradition(lord knows college athletics needs tradition back). I do not admire them for peeing on a ACC that has been good to them. Of course they did it to the Big East .
I would say the ACC needs to divorce the ND crew. I just don't know if either can survive alone. One for conference survival. One for INDY! ND in the BIG. I laugh at their last days of being themselves.
I will add this. If Stanford goes to BIG. I will change some thinking. If they and others join another league I will start laughing.

I wouldn’t think so. I don’t see the Big Ten as a possibility even though
