The four G5 newbies were paid $19 million each for '23 & '24 seasons.

ESPN & Fox declined to pay for the expansion, so the eight incumbent members lent the money by taking reduced payouts for those two years. The OK/TX exit money failed to cover the deficit, leaving over $40 million still due to the eight "lenders."
