If you are right and the Pac-2 didn't get a waiver for the other sports,
then the conference shouldn't be allowed to collect its share of the March Madness revenue which I believe is bigger than the CFP revenue. I guess you could say the "two year grace period" is serving the same function as a waiver. If that is correct, then it should mean the Pac-2 keeps any automatic bids during that period of time particularly so the conference could keep collecting any checks from the NCAA. Otherwise, the 2 schools could be hurting themselves financially by delaying the merger with the MWC. Whereas under the scenario I am proposing, the Pac-2 gets the CFP money, March Madness money, and any other NCAA money from the other NCAA tournaments. Talk about having your cake and eating it too.
