The NCAA granted the Pac-2 a waiver so they could continue collecting the checks and receive 1 of the 6 bids to the CFP assuming it is 1 of the 6 highest ranked conference champion. If the Pac-2 received a NCAA waiver for football, then that waiver should be good for all the other sports the Pac-2 sponsors (i.e. men's basketball, women's basketball, baseball, softball, men's water polo, women's water polo, etc.) because the conference would still be in violation of the same NCAA bylaw regardless of the sport. Particularly since the conferences collect a check from the NCAA for the other sports too. That means the Pac-2 should still have an automatic bid to March Madness and all the other NCAA Tournaments out there. It also means if there is a sport that the Pac-12 sponsored (i.e. baseball) and only 1 of the school sponsors the sport (i.e. Oregon State), then it should mean Oregon State receives the Pac-2's automatic bid, which was the Pac-12's automatic bid, to the College World Series even before the baseball regular season begins. Otherwise, the NCAA will have created a mess for itself, which wouldn't be the first time, if it tried to take away the Pac-2's automatic bids for the other sports because the conference violated the bylaw regarding the definition of a conference. Particularly if the MWC plans to join the Pac-2 once its current TV contract expires in a couple years. If the Pac-2 doesn't have an automatic bid to whatever NCAA Tournament, then it could mean the couldn't collect any check(s) from the NCAA for that sport.
