Of course Stanford would be expected to join the BTAA

but there's no reason they'd have to forego existing relationships. That makes no sense, all due respect to "random podcast commentators." The B1G didn't want Stanford because Stanford's not as good for B1G athletics (ahem, football and money) as USC and UCLA. I'm curious to see the list of these "time and time again" influences of academic standing in expansion.
