My mother's friend, who she grew up with, is married to a Cornhusker fan

and he has had football season tickets for decades. Even though I am an outsider, I think I have a somewhat good picture of their current situation because we always talk college football whenever they come back to my hometown to visit for the holidays. He was the first person to suggest that Nebraska may not be able to come close to recapturing the Osborne glory years again because of the changes to the roster limits. One of the reasons he didn't think the Big Ten was the issue is because he thought Nebraska football had more in common with Iowa, Wisky, and even Minn. than any of the Big 8 schools in terms of culture. I had heard he is likely to be the #1 pick in this year's NBA Draft. Even though Self is coming back for 1 more year, I don't expect him to roam the sidelines for too many more years. Likewise, I do think Kansas will continue to sign top recruits even if they eventually leave for a P2 school. What will be interesting to watch for a school like Kansas, UConn, Duke, or even Villanova is how they react to getting a #3 or #4 seed in a year where a strong argument could be made they deserved at least a #2 seed over whatever P2 school that received it. Will that trigger an increase in public chatter regarding the school's interest to join a P2 conference in the near future?
