Lucky or smart? I ask because VT played WVU on a Wed night once. VT was

forced to take its bye week the week before the game which I think was in October and gained a few extra days to potentially prepare for the next game which I think was on Saturday. I don't think you will find too many schools interested in doing that in November. October may be a toss up since a lot of HCs prefer to have their bye week sometime in that month. Outside of Week 0 and/or Week 1, September is probably a "No Go Zone" because no HC wants to use their only bye week that early in the season. Now if it happens in a year with 2 bye weeks because there are 14 weeks for the regular season, then you might have some interested parties. Particularly now that the NFL "owns" Thursday night. Even considering that fact, P4 teams may not be interested in Tuesday or Wednesday games because Fridays are still protected under the Sports Broadcasting Act of 1961. College football is exploiting the protection given to HS football to get away from competing directly against the NFL. Until the NFL figures out a way to play games on Tues or Wed, the MAC (and Sun Belt) know it will have a monopoly on those nights.
