pretty much got whatever they asked for from the Big 12 and still left, so caving to demands will still only hold a school thinking they deserve more for only so long. USC/UCLA, particularly USC, allowed the PAC 12 problems to fester and grow in to the mortal wound it has become, so while they may have asked they really did nothing to be part of the solution. In USC's defense, they have a useless President and a string of failures in the AD chair that allowed one of collegiate sports' strongest brands to stumble. It is not that different from FSU where the Boosters and admins did battle for years while the brand suffered and they now have a new president and AD, at least one of whom, if not both are handpicked by the Boosters. We'll see how that works out in the coming times.
