They cannot control media trolls looking for clickbait nor do they really need to deny these stories and open themselves up to more questioning. They have chosen a strategy to challenge with PR and make publicly known their displeasure. Others, likely unwittingly, coopted in to their ploy to grease the skids on unequal revenue sharing played along in May, however, they have all taken a quieter stance since, likely indicative of a lack of support, if not outright disapproval, of FSU's approach.
