Agreed.

"College" football played by different rules is likely to lose appeal for the population not directly connected to the associated schools. I kinda think that creating such a league would benefit those who are left behind though. Obviously there would still be those that outspend, but the separation of those at the top would likely be smaller. Might feel a little more like a level playing field.
