I don't think Stanford automatically falls under that umbrella

That has to be determined. I would expect the ACC to not include Stanford and Cal in the rotation. If ND decided to cancel their series with Stanford, then that would be on them. It would show us more about the character of ND, however, if they could not even find a way to throw us that bone.
