it's pretty commonsensical. The current membership of the P2 will never vote to make less money. Currently, ND is the only school not in the P2 that makes that kind of money. If the make of of the B12 (as an example because of my moniker) was worth that kind of money, and got those ratings, they would already be making that kind of money. When Utah (not UVA) believes that they are Big 10 material, then they are saying that they should make the same money as Ohio State and Michigan. Any objective observer would never put Utah in the same class as OSU and Michigan. Would you? USC, yes. UCLA as a travel partner, yes. When Texas Tech (example) says that they should be in the SEC, would anybody put them in the same class as Alabama, Georgia, LSU and others? Of course not - but Texas and Oklahoma was worth it. Using football and ratings as the metric, There are only about 3 or 4 schools that are worthy of being in that class, and only one that would brings even more value. None of those teams are in the B12 currently, so it is the top of your conference and ND. I'll be the first in line to congratulate this board if there is a P2 invite in your future. Details?
