I agree that we should be looking for the distribution

formulas. If it's a permanent formula that awards the same schools year after year, and takes from the same schools year after year, it will in all likelihood not work. If it allows schools to move up, or move down for that matter, it has a real chance. A 5 year average is probably pretty fair, but if a VT or GT starts to get ranked in the top 5 or 10, makes the playoffs, and sustains that level for several years, they should be at the top of the payouts. If not, ....... If it works, it could be a template for the "breakaway" league some think will happen - with one media contract, not conferences against conferences. One big beautiful media contract could bring in a lot more money than individual conference contracts being used as leverage against another.
