I have a friend who works in the Disney World parks division.
He tells me that before the pandemic, Disney World ran like a well-oiled machine. But when they shutdown the parks for the pandemic and laid off and furloughed all the park employees, many of the employees who knew how to run the parks never returned after the parks reopened. And even now 4 years later the parks still aren't able to run like they did before the pandemic shutdown. The pandemic basically broke the parks beyond repair.

I’m surprised they haven’t been bought already, at least the ESPN part.**
