That's right. The idea of ESPN "moving" schools wherever they like is very

prevalent all over the web, and it is foolishness. But ESPN need not be an innocent bystander if FSU gets crazy ideas. They will act in their own best interest, always. The FSU podcast that Maroon Baboon saw suggests that if FSU and/or others move to The B1G, then ESPN loses-out. But ESPN can simply buy a content package of B1G games. The B1G and their media collective have more content than they can fit into their linear outlets. If they add even Oregon/Washington, they will need to slide games over to streaming. That's not the best way to monetize the content. They would gladly welcome some ESPN help. ESPN does not care which conference FSU is in. They enjoy having a monopoly with The ACC/SEC. But if FSU should break away, ESPN would invoke the (presumed) composition clause, and wait for The ACC to bleed-out. They will be sad to see the ACC gravy train disappear. But they will survey the aftermath and make whatever decisions work in their favor.
