happens, and the top ACC schools go to the P2. There just won't be a lot of blue bloods with room on their schedules for the other power schools not included in the P2. I don't think ND will have difficulties scheduling top schools, but games against USC in the future are in question. If you are NBC, you want the top matchups. There are a number of BIG schools like Michigan that have a history with ND, and I don't think FOX or NBC would mind a long term arrangement, but the BIG could not very accommodating moving forward. If you want to be independent, and compete for national championships, you have to have the ability to play the top schools. Clemson now has USCe and ND on their schedule - as their OOC games when not in rotation. That's pretty strong, and sets them up for an at large if they aren't the top two schools in the ACC.
