is the only conference left that has not been poached. Would a deal with a private firm be accretive or not. All other questions are irrelevent. To sit idlily by, and watch the P2 dominate with $40M - $60M more a year until 2031 - or 2036 for that matter, is suicide, as the schools in the B12 will never realistically be able to compete for a football championship ever again. Really - what do they have to lose? The ACC can't get a private deal while the top schools are in court trying to leave the conference. The P2 is pulling away. Either it's a brilliant move by Yormark, or it's what? Worst case scenario is that the B12 would have debt, and not be able to compete for a national championship. Seems to me that the worst case isn't any different than waiting for the P2 to pull away further. The status quo is untenable for both of our conferences. Go big, or go home. Hoping for a P2 invite is something some in the ACC are still doing. The B12 - not so much, that chance is gone for them.
