Getting some money vs. no money when the contract expires?

If Florida State doesn't leave in 2031, they're leaving in 2036, and will be creating a lot of negative perception for the ACC the entire time they're doing their farewell tour. The ACC might as well get something out of FSU leaving, rather than nothing, because they're leaving. I'm not sure how much more clear it can be for everyone that absolutely nothing can save the ACC from becoming a G5 at this point. The die has already been cast on the ACC's fate, and it has been for some time. SMU is in the conference now, how much more smoke and flames does anyone need to recognize the five alarm fire? And, the ACC is not going to raid the Big 12. That's laughable. You can't pay a rat to get off a floating, stable ship to get on one where half the equipment doesn't work, there are new leaks every day, the entire thing is slowly but surely sinking, and the captain and crew's response the entire time has been to drill more holes. So, any prognostication about the ACC raiding the Big 12 is nothing but fantasy talk, in this case fantasy talk written by what appears to be an aspiring sportswriter, with no sources, for free, for an obscure online ACC fan blog, to build a resume. ** Edited by Baltimore_Hokie at 2/12/2025, 4:05:24 PM
