Just the opposite IMHO. The b12 and the ACC do not

have the luxury or the eyeballs to schedule a soft schedule. They need to double down on really good non conference matchups, and spread them out through the year, not just one tough one before conference play starts. If you want the national eyeballs, schedule nationally, and with schools that people will want to watch. Scheduling Maryland and Rutgers year after year as your tough OOC will not cut it. The same goes for every single B12 team.

Looks like ND has out negotiated SEC & B1G again!! Weak SOS & no Conf Champ
Stech 11/27/24 07:21 AM ET
Most years B1G and SEC will get in 1 or 2 teams each that did not have to
wwhokie1 11/29/24 10:59 PM ET
Honestly, with a 12 team postseason, in most scenarios even losing Conf.
ombandit 11/28/24 10:55 AM ET
Lane Kiffin said most of the SEC Head Coaches don’t want to play in it,

Will be interesting to see what happens if ND loses to USC

ESPN has this covered.**
manassashoo 11/28/24 09:55 AM ET
They barely dropped in rankings after losing to NIU. They are in regardless
Hokester 11/28/24 12:25 AM ET
ND dropped from #5 to #18 after NIU....
TerryD 11/28/24 07:57 AM ET
Absolutely, down 13 spots isn’t BARELY dropping…

It will be interesting to see if the playoffs rules stay the same too.**

The P2 are set up to give themselves an unearned advantage.
Truthahn 11/27/24 11:00 AM ET
ND didn't play the victim, that was other people
TerryD 11/27/24 10:32 AM ET
Minor point to debate, but a good distraction point from the bigger issues.
Stech 11/27/24 11:38 AM ET
They did beat aTm, which will end up being Texas' best win by far. Agree
reestuart 11/27/24 08:27 AM ET
WADR that’s nothing compared to an SEC schedule, and the NI loss at home is
Stech 11/27/24 11:32 AM ET
Yeah, definitely not tough, but as the season has unfolded,
reestuart 11/27/24 11:51 AM ET
Miami moved its ND game this year, too
TerryD 11/27/24 07:12 PM ET
Yeah, I think plenty is tough luck. Playing USC, aTm, and FSU is a great
reestuart 11/28/24 01:48 PM ET
Not compared to an SEC schedule, not even close, but admittedly it’s not as
Stech 11/28/24 02:24 PM ET
Texas SEC opponents are 19-33 in conference, including UGA. That’s pitiful.
reestuart 11/28/24 10:37 PM ET
Compare the Top 25 wins and below 25 losses, the SEC blows them away.
Stech 11/29/24 09:15 AM ET
Should they schedule less ACC games to strengthen their schedule? **
Big12 guy 11/29/24 09:29 AM ET
That’s a problem for them. 5 ACC games a year hurts. Also not their fault

PadrosWindup 11/27/24 07:25 AM ET
Been saying this for years, why the big "shock" now?
TerryD 11/27/24 10:30 AM ET
They certainly went through their ACC schedule like
Big12 guy 11/27/24 10:53 AM ET
They didn’t play SMU, Miami or Clemson, of course they did, that proves
Stech 11/27/24 11:43 AM ET
41-5 is not scheduling, its performance

It’s a fact and part of the ND weak SOS, just stating a fact. SEC is *****n
Stech 11/28/24 11:35 AM ET
The hell with the SEC
TerryD 11/29/24 07:16 AM ET
Okay, be careful what you wish for, you just might get it.**
Stech 11/29/24 09:08 AM ET
I am very okay with that**
TerryD 11/29/24 10:58 AM ET
Or at ND. The ACC is lucky to have them. **
Big12 guy 11/28/24 10:23 AM ET
Fair, as it certainly has taken a little luck over the last century. **
Big12 guy 11/27/24 11:53 AM ET
Probably felt that way when they voted for it, but if SEC & B1G teams don’t
Stech 11/27/24 08:06 AM ET
Acc teams need to schedule softer ooc, imo
