Hmm, maybe has something to do with why Clem was against expansion

expansion means losing rivalries, there is no other choice. It's one of the reasons I think expansion is a bad idea, it takes away from fans with the assumption that it creates national interest. CFB has always been about local and regional interest. There are national brands, but not that many and the local and regional interest always filled the gaps. Now you're taking away those games and replacing them with Wake vs SMU.
