expect it to be very similar. First of all, the schools will have nothing to say about a players NIL situation. Those are now, and will continue to be, external to the schools. These athletes make agreements with commercial outfits who want their services (name/image/likeness) for promotional purposes. I do agree that all athletes in each school, maybe for the whole conference, will belong to one union. I don't envision the schools disposing of the "student athlete" facade. These will be enrolled students with academic requirements, just as they are today. There won't be any "trading." The Portal will be unavailable for some players whose contract ties them to a local/regional market. But a player who is funded by a big national advertiser might be encouraged to "portal" to a more visible team or market. Scholarships, room and board, insurance and other benefits will be provided by school's who wish to be competitive for recruits. This is a much different setup that the NFL.
