Being from a school that was left behind, and watching the PAC implode

I would no be at all surprised if the non mag 7 have made some phone calls, and want to keep the ACC a viable conference. remember, not a single PAC school WANTED to be in the B12. Those schools didn't apply until it became obvious they were not going to get a competitive contract - and even then, it was only Arizona and Colorado that had "official" discussions. I'll take a leap, and say that there are no teams from the ACC that WANT to go to the B12, but if this keeps rolling like it is, there may be some already reaching out, or looking for security and trying to find a landing spot if the all or part of the mag 7 leave.
