and I agree about the ACC brass

I think the handwriting is on the wall post 2036 and yes, I understated risk but I think it would more of a risk for the network than the conferences since the payout is likely to be guaranteed (other than for conference network(s) take). The conference network aspects of this would be fascinating. Do you merge? Do you share content? A merged network would have way more quality live content, and diversity of content than any other. I'd love to see mini-tournaments in the non-rev sports with schools from both coasts and held at prime locations. Maybe even add some X sports.
