In fact, I'd start now to consider the ACC as DEAD after 2036. From there, it makes planning much more clear (even if contraction or death doesn't happen that way, and the ACC miraculously heals). But watching the ACC trying to hang on to the status quo is demoralizing. 1. VT should be doing everything it takes NOW to EARN an invite to the SEC or B1G by 2036. 2. VT should think about what schools outside the current P2 that they would like to share a future conference with if no P2 invite comes. And if any of those teams are "available" now?
