A slightly better football pedigree and a football stadium that isn't located 20-30 (maybe 40) minutes away from campus. 2. Located in a state that is more valuable for HS football recruiting (TN > CT) 3. Located within the Big XII footprint. UConn would be on its own island like UCF which could be problematic from a scheduling standpoint for non-revenue sports. The UCF island is okay because of how valuable FL is as a state in college athletics. The same can't be said about CT even if you consider the entire state to be a suburb or NYC.
