Exactly. Just like the B12 was used to be a safe harbor for PAC teams

that big media had/has a future use for, the ACC is being used as a test model for unequal revenue. My idea of what this will do is: 1-make more money for the leaving 4. I am assuming that UNC can get away from NCSU although they may not. 2- After those leaving are gone the unequal distribution will greatly benefit whomever is at the top of the ACC going forward. I see a VT receiving preferable unequal distribution and facing even the $75 mil exit fee as being the best place possible other than the SEC. 3- Yourmark and the B12, seeing the ACC best getting significantly more money than the B12 best will push for the B12 to do the same. 4- If that model works for both leagues, then that will be all the real bigs in the P2 want to change it so the lower half of their leagues are about equal in payout to the better teams in the ACC/B12 (and maybe the PAC) Meanwhile the real big bluebloods get a bigger and bigger percentage of the total $$$ that flow to what is still called college football.

Uneven distribution in the P2 might be exactly what the ACC needs to keep

It certainly has saved it for the short term, the long run I’m not sure.**

Is there really a "long term" for anything below the P2 right now?**

UVa and VT are also still tied together politically.
