I think it is even more pro-"big names" than it is pro-SEC or pro-B1G.

I think if all else was equal, the committee would take Miami over Vandy, but not over Bama. There will be no "blind resumes" with these folks. They are ratings *****s no doubt. Best chance for VT ever getting an at-large bid is to schedule OOC big names and beating them head to head, even if you have to play them on the road. Moreover, it won't hurt their efforts to win a conference title and big outright.
