I think the key is what does Carolina do

If they stay the ACC will be fine. If they bolt (big if) then all bets are off. Miami may not be far behind. Interesting few months coming for sure. FSU and Clemson are far gone. It will hurt the ACC that they will be gone but it can still survive as a decent conference in football and a great conference in basketball. ** Edited by Millpoint at 4/8/2024, 7:13:41 PM

HOO86, can you please splain to me why the ACC never invited UConn?
Stech 04/06/24 11:07 PM ET
Because it would have pissed off Clemson and FSU at the time **
HokiesACC2004 04/07/24 09:28 PM ET

Originally it was the lawsuit.
HOO86 04/07/24 06:42 PM ET
Well since we pretty much know FSU & Clemson are leaving, grab UConn & USF.
Stech 04/08/24 08:53 AM ET
I've been an advocate of both for a long time.
HOO86 04/08/24 04:23 PM ET
Thanks I agree with all the additions, and your last paragraph makes me

Per Cardinal News, the Va Attorney Gen wants UVA and VT in same conference
j9hokie 04/08/24 04:51 PM ET
Thanks I have seen that and I agree that's the top choice, but I will also

A good post. However, anyone

I agree most state schools would jump in a second, but UVA is not like most
Stech 04/08/24 03:46 PM ET
The only jumping UVA would do is if the Ivy League came a courting.**
VTHokie2000 04/08/24 03:53 PM ET
Right then the majority at both cases should have held fheir ground
DMV Gobbler 04/07/24 06:46 PM ET
I think they were an option when MD left. Went with Louisville
PadrosWindup 04/07/24 07:51 AM ET
If true, dumb of BC. They should want MORE juice in New England, not LESS.
Maroon Baboon 04/07/24 12:43 PM ET
Article from then.
HOO86 04/08/24 07:55 PM ET
WOW. Three crazy things in that article. UConn over Pitt was the original
Maroon Baboon 04/08/24 08:36 PM ET
I'm not at all unhappy with Pitt
HOO86 04/09/24 12:38 AM ET
Just amazing how childish some adults act, let me take that back, children
Stech 04/08/24 08:29 PM ET
someone at BC doesn't understand "the network effect"
MrBayAreaHokie 04/07/24 08:48 PM ET
All BC understands is hockey and one pass by Doug Flutie**
LonghornHokie 04/08/24 06:18 AM ET
BC kind of had the right idea, never was able to execute.
PadrosWindup 04/07/24 02:04 PM ET
I heard that was all FSU and Clemson
DMV Gobbler 04/07/24 12:29 PM ET
Yep and look at us now **
HokiesACC2004 04/07/24 09:29 PM ET
UMd was the canary in a coalmine. And a comment on UConn vs. Louisville.
Maroon Baboon 04/07/24 12:59 PM ET
You just nailed why the high exit fee and the GOR buy back fees
VTCALS72 04/07/24 05:59 PM ET
Swap out BC for Uconn, problem solved.**

I wanted them back when their football was really rolling.
LonghornHokie 04/07/24 06:50 AM ET
Temple was also good in MBB then too
Marooned 04/07/24 12:04 AM ET
No one wants to see UConn on their football schedule.
Maroon Baboon 04/07/24 02:01 AM ET
Interesting perspective, I would rather play UConn in 🏈, than west coast
Stech 04/07/24 09:12 AM ET
But the Big Least was run by the small private BB only schools
