Your thinking has two major.......

flaws. While you may like the 30-36 number it is too small and will likely create pushback from the public and legislators. Much more likely to be in 48-64 range. Your second flaw is huge and involves the media contract you envision. 30 individual contracts like ND is unworkable from the view of both sides. From the schools side their leverage is as a group versus individual entities. From the TV side, 30 individual contracts is a logistical nightmare. 30 separate deals is a nonstarter.
